I am a connector.
I like to connect coworkers to other coworkers, designers to designers, and friends to friends. I like to help instructors feel connected to their digital teaching tools, connect citizens with their public services, or any industry that life takes me towards. I like to make connections between big ideas, and I like to tie it all together with craftmanship. ⚜
Design never crossed my mind until my second year of college when I took a design fundamentals course. I signed up for the course because I wanted to get better at making memes for my brother and friends. During that semester, I realized design was what I enjoyed the most, and something I discovered on my own without others nudging me down a certain path (STEM). I found my gift for making people feel included and heard. At work, this materializes as the key supporter to rely on for cross-disciplinary teams, users, and stakeholders. I love getting to show my friends what I have been working on, make them laugh, and communicate the best way I can to the people close to me.
Previously a UX Engineer, I found a sweet spot for designing and building out websites for relatives, local businesses, and internships. Eventually I took the leap after graduation to dedicate myself to the product and design side of things and have been soaking up everything I can find along the way. :)
